Happy New Year Everyone!

ree

That's Brie watching the campfire.

It's been a while since my last post. Since that last post, we've driven to Sacramento, had Christmas, and had New Year's Day.

Christmas in Arizona

Christmas is a big deal here at the RV park. Here are some pictures of the festivities

That first picture is an example of desert Christmas decorations, a decorated agave. The next 5 pictures are from the golf cart parade. We supplied our own music and our neighbors from across the street came over and chatted. Lots of alcohol was consumed that day.

Brie had her picture taken with Santa. She wasn't happy about it.

That last picture shows that even the sunset was decorated for Christmas.

More pictures on the AZ picture page.

Christmas in CA

We drove to Sacramento and spent Christmas with Suzanne and Tom.

Thank You, Suzanne, for having us!

Suzanne had to put up with us coming in to town, then she had to put on a Christmas Eve dinner, and then she had to put on a Christmas Day party. She did a beautiful job everyone had way to much to eat.

While we were in town, we had lunch with Melinda.

After Christmas, we went up to Red Bluff and saw Dolores, Larry, Leonard, Janelle, Lynette, and Big Tony.

Since the beginning of October, we have driven over 7,000 miles. In October, we went from Houston to Sacramento and back for about 4,000 miles. Then in November we went from Houston to Yuma for 1,300 miles. Then in December we went from Yuma to Cameron Park to Red Bluff and then back to Yuma for another 1,600 miles. The US is a really big country.

We came back to the trailer to this:

Construction right outside our front door. You can see that wall is being built about 2 feet from the rental car. They start work at around 7:00am, while it's still dark outside. After the wall is done, they will cover most of that area with pavers.

2022 wrap up

States Visited: California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma

Miles on the Trailer: 6,075

Miles on the Truck: 20,328

Truck News

The truck is still in the shop. It had better be finished soon because we only get 30 days of rental car for each claim and that is up this Wednesday. I called the shop and he said that everything is done and painted, he just needs to put the truck back together.

House News

The newest pictures from the builder show no changes inside. The outside is the next focus. Sprinklers and drains have been put in. We can see 2 new trees in the front yard.
