We decided to move closer to Houston because we have an inspection on Monday.

All the rain we've had in the past week has greened up the landscape. You can see that the grass has mostly died off during the summer, but what held on is starting to grow back.

There was storm last night. It was supposed to hit Columbus, but it missed. It was off to the west and far enough away that we could see the lightning, but couldn't hear the thunder. I tried to take a picture of the lightning with my phone. It sort of worked. It's not exactly art gallery quality though.

We have the pre-drywall inspection coming up on Monday. All the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC ducting will be in. No drywall or insulation. This is so we can see that all stuff we asked for has been installed. It was also suggested that we have a professional home inspector with us to find any defaults in the construction. That sounded like a good idea so we hired an inspector to come out with us.

The builder sent us more pictures of the house. This time, they are of the inside of the house. You can see plumbing and HVAC ducting, but electrical isn't in yet.

This is the second bedroom. You can see the street out in front.

This is the master bedroom. That's our view of the backyard.

This is the master bathroom. The doorway leads to the walk-in closet.

I will have even more pictures when we go there for the inspection.

I updated the "Where We Are" page of the website with our House. I added an icon of house. This gives you an idea of were we are in relation to Houston. The gold star is where we are right now. The green star is where we will be spending October.
